A classic beanie with a magical unicorn design

Sizes: 1-3 (3-5, 5-10 years) S/M, L/XL
Head circumference: 48-50 (50-52, 52-54) 54-58, 58-62 cm

Gauge: 18 sts x 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch
Needles: 4.5 mm circular needles, 40 cm cable
+ a crochet hook to make it easier to attach the mane

Yarn 1 (brim + pattern color): 25 (25, 30) 35, 35 g Drops Air
Yarn 2 (top color): 15 (20, 25) 25, 30 g Drops Air 
Yarn 3 (for the mane): 5 g Drops Air (50 g = 150 m)
Yarn 4 (for the eyes): 2 m glitter yarn, fingering weight

About the pattern: 
Magical Unicorn Beanie is classic beanie worked partially in intarsia to create a unicorn pattern. First you work the brim in the round, before you knit it up towards the cast-on edge to make it double. After that you begin to work the top of the beanie in intarsia back and forth, while leaving an opening at the center back. When you’ve finished the intarsia you’ll begin to shape the top of the beanie with decreases. Then you close the opening at the back by making a mane. Lastly you embroider eyes at the front to complete the magical unicorn.

Beskrivning:
Magical Unicorn Beanie är en klassisk mössa som delvis stickas med intarsiateknik för att skapa ett enhörningsmönster. Först stickas brättet runt, innan det viks och stickas ihop med uppläggningskanten för att skapa ett dubbelvikt brätte. Därefter stickas ovandelen av mössan med intarsiateknik fram och tillbaka, genom att det lämnas en öppning mot mitt bak. Efter att du har avslutat intarsiamönstret formas toppen av mössan med minskningar. Sedan stängs öppningen mot mitt bak med hjälp av manen. Avslutningvis broderas ögon på framsidan för att fullborda den magiska enhörningen.
