A cropped, ribbed sweater bolero.
Sizes: XS/M (L/2XL) 3XL/4XL
Upper width (garment): 100 (120) 140 cm
Upper arm: 47.5 (55) 62.5 cm
Wrist: 36 (38) 40 cm
Gauge: 20 sts and 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm in 3:2 rib (k3, p2)
Needles: 4 mm circular needles, 40-100 cm cable
3 mm circular needles, 40 cm or longer for Magic Loop
Material: 400 (450) 500 g Fluffwear Pure Merino
…or yarn that gives the same gauge!
NOTE! For this garment I recommend that you use non-treated wool (non superwash), to ensure that it holds its shape.
About the pattern:
Ribbed sleeves is a cropped sweater bolero worked sideways. You cast on stitches for the left sleeve, and then you work your way up the sleeve towards the body and then continue to work the body all the way to the right sleeve and onwards until you bind off the work at the end of the right sleeve. The garment is continuously shaped with increases, decreases and german short rows to create a nice fit and look.
For the cuffs and the neckline you pick up and knit sts from the wrong side to create the ridge detail. At the end you pick up and knit sts along the bottom of the body to make an i-cord edge which provides some structure to give the sweater a better fit.

Beskrivning:
Ribbed sleeves är en ribbad, kort bolero tröja som stickas i sidled. Det läggs upp maskor för vänster ärm, och sedan arbetar du upp mot kroppen och vidare mot höger ärm innan arbetet maskas av vid höger ärmslut. Plagget formas genomgående med ökningar, minskningar och förkortade varv för att skapa såväl en välsittande passform som genomtänkta detaljer. Det plockas upp maskor för att görs halsringningen och muddarna vid ärmsluten, innan det avslutningsvis görs en i-cord kant längs nederkanten av kroppen för att skapa struktur och ge en bättre passform.
